re: hmmm
Thanks Petlovr, I'll tell her that again. Personnaly I think she should get some more tests done. It probably is a pain response from what little I know. Oh well. I guess all I can do is offer suggestions. Seems that is a symptom of so many things it could be anything, but more likely is like you sa...

tremble, leg-shivering & whole body.
A good friend asked me to see what I could find about this, because she doesn't know much on looking up stuff... but, I couldn't find anything either... She has a Schnauser , 11 years old now, with pancreatitus and some back-pain trouble. - Question on: - Trembling. ( Started with leg tremble, but n...

you'r probably right on that,
when I got Rags, they had completely bypassed her and went to the next dogs, then when I said I liked her, they had said " Are you sure? -This dog has been adopted twice and returned already both times" ... She had several little emotional problems. It took weeks to train her to jump on th...

What an adorably cute dog! And a touching story too.
Please post how it goes.
My dog had an abdominal growth when I adopted her, and she was successful. I hope your's is too. I never did find out what it was... that was a long time ago and I was not so vigilent then.

Thanks Davet, she
she does kind of stare off into space while this happens, but no foot flutter or tremble. She sometimes leaks a little when it happens, though. Urine leakage is another concern... now I am not so sure if it's from Cushings, old age, or this. She has started having some DES occassionally... but I am ...

My dog was obviously hit a lot when I adopted her ten years ago. I have met many dogs in the absence of their owners as well. I agree that tone of voice or your own agressive manerism works with most dogs. Dogs seem to know how you feel about them intuitively. For biting/ snapping , I swipe with two...

mouth-chatter -mild epilepsy?
Rags has this thing where she starts opening-closing her mouth over and over quite quickly. Not as fast as a tremble. While doing this, her nose runs and she can't stop for a couple of minutes. I hold her and she'll stop in 10-15 seconds. She has done this in the past, but now it's more frequent. - ...

Are these growths easily removed without full anesthesia? My Rags also has a growth on her eye rim. I got a picture of it which I'll try to post here. http://www.geocities.com/rendophilous/eye.html http://www.geocities.com/rendophilous/eyeprob1a.jpg Is this the sort of growth talked about in this th...

Hi Traci, Yeah, I know they are low funded. Here is where I got Rags from 13 years ago http://www.geocities.com/heartland/8645/ . I wonder if they'd let me help on their webpage. It was a very small place back then and may be still, I don't know. I meant to call today but we are missing a person at ...

shelter donation links on pages
I've noticed that websites for "No-kill" shelters or regular shelters do not seem to have any link for online donations? ( I have seen "donation" links on other non-pet-related sites, and looks pretty easy to do.) I could just call to see where to send it, but I can't help but wo...
