I just dont get it. I think what my cat really needs is a shrink or at least some kind of feline therapy. I wouldn't doubt it if they have pet psychiatrists here in Los Angeles!!! All blood work results were normal. Discussed all medical issues that you brought to my attention with vet and he said w...

Re: Strong ammonia smell in urine
Thank you Tracy for your response. The cat is a 13 year old female and I am keeping a close eye on her as I work at home. Could be over-reacting. Also, have an young vet who lives in my apt building and spoke with her yesterday regarding this matter (kidney, diabetis, UTI) Most concerned about costs...

Re: Continual Urinary Problem
Just wanted you to know I have the same problem with my male cat "Smokey". After months of expensive vet exams & tests he was finally diagnosed with FLUTD. Unfortunately because he is an indoor/outdoor cat it is extremely difficult to keep an eye on his bathroom habits. I have him on H...

Cat w/ excessive bum licking misdiagnosed
The vet misdiagnosed my cat. It was not an anal glad issue at all. When I picked her up after surgery the vet explained that there was a deep laceration around her rectum that required stiches. I can not even figure that one out. Now she has to wear the collar for a week or more so she doesn't remov...

Diagnosis of the bum licking cat
Took cat to vet today. Was told cat had impacted anal sac(s) which is why cat was excessively licking booty for last couple days. HOWEVER, after doing some online research regarding this issue... I remain confused why the vet insisted surgery was required as opposed to just "expressing" th...
