Re: Lethargic Cat - after mouse kill
I got home and she is fine. If I could keep the cats indoors happily I would, but my small one sprays if she is under stress or upset. Letting her outside makes her happy and she sprays outside and not in the house anymore. I have quick release (elasticized) collars on them to reduce the likelihood ...

Lethargic Cat - after mouse kill
This is the second time now that my cat has been lethargic after a mouse kill in the same week. I'm worried someone has put poison out and the mouse has ingested it and inturn my cat is getting dosed. Does this sound like behaviour after poisoning? My cat doesn't eat the mice. She does seems to reco...

Re: heat
Well there you go another forum where people pass judgement. I don't know why I didn't learn my lesson from the horse forum I used to frequently visit. I have more than enough money to look after my dog in whatever fashion is required. I do not take pet ownership lightly. I have three cats, 2 horses...

Re: heat
Sorry. I've been a regular on a horse forum for along time and see how things deteriorate. I am completely responsible and we are only considering a litter. I would not breed her before she is ready and do not want to have a mix breed litter. My cocker was 7 when we had her spayed and she never was ...

Re: heat
She is chocolate lab and we are considering having one litter before she is spayed. I had a cocker spaniel when I was a kid and she was never spayed and never got pregnant. I remember what heat looks like I just can't remember how long it lasts. If I am going to get a lecture. I am sorry I asked the...

Re: heat
Could being around a whole male dog bring a dog into heat, like it does a mare? I am taking my dog to my brothers at Xmas and she will be 10 mos by then. She's almost 9 mos now and has not come into heat yet.

Re: Spraying female
This is new. The other habit is old, but relatively under control. The vet did give her medication for a UTI when I took her in acouple years ago. I was away last week and when we came home we brought in a trunk that was different. this is why i think she actually "sprayed", something diff...

Spraying female
I have a 3 year old calico female cat. She is very small and has always had toileting problems. I have covered beds in plastic, made sure I don't leave any towels on the ground, etc. This seems to help her "habit" of urinating on bedding, clothes, etc. I switched to clumping litter and cle...
