Re: Continual Urinary Problem
Could THIS be a factor in Sun's urinary problems? The latest dose of "the pink stuff" has kicked in, and he is back to normal. But, this morning I saw on the rug what I thought was a worm. Not a little white worm...a 2" long, fat, dark brown worm. It took a while, but I know what it i...

Re: One year old male died, now his sister is all alone
I can tell you that I'm a firm believer in a two-cat household. As you've seen, 2 cats entertain themselves, and keep eachother happy when "Mom & Dad" are at work. I've heard from friends that the intoduction of a new cat can be difficult for a few days - but, worth it in the longrun. ...

Re: Continual Urinary Problem
THANK YOU, for your replies...I've written them all down to take to my Vet! I can tell you that Sun is totally indoors, does eat wet/canned food that I always add some water too, and I've always gone thru the complete course of the antibiodics (even after he seemed "cured"). Since he's onl...

Continual Urinary Problem
About 6 months ago I had my first experience with FUTD and a blockage. I asked questions and you were very helpful! Ater the trauma, we switched to C/D food and eventually all was fine. About 3 months later, I saw the signs again, however Sun was not blocked this time. A few days of an antibiotic, a...

Re: snow storm
I've often wondered about this subject...bathing cats. My last cat (Buddy) was an indoor cat and in his 17 years I never bathed him. My 2 current "sons" now, age 3, have never had a "real" bath either. I bought those "Cat-Bath-Wipes" once, which sounded OK from the labe...

Re: Tips on giving medicine
My "Sun" is the WORST when it comes to giving dropper meds. I found from experience... get him while he's sleepy (like mentioned above), then I sit on a chair or couch with his butt on the back so that he can't wiggle away from behind. I already have the dropper ready (in my teeth!), squee...

Mommy....
I wouldn't worry... Most of us that read this board have probably been where you are today! I know "don't worry" is easier said than done, and I'm the WORST worrier in the world when it comes to my cats! But, your babies will be just FINE in no time flat. Enjoy them!!

Re: FLUTD-Reoccurance & Food
Traci, I wanted to thank you for your response. Since our last visit to the vet, both Sun & Star are now on c/d, and are friends again! You helped me through a very tough time- not only now, but about 5 years ago (on another message board) when my very first cat, Buddy, went through a terrible t...

I get worried if my 2 cats DON'T run around the apartment like madmen! I've become a pro at ducking flying cats as they soar from floor to the top of the couch, and back down. Have fun!

Re: Symptoms of Urinary Tract Disorders in Male Cats
I joined this board 2 weeks ago after my "sun" was diagnosed with FLUTD. I brought him to the vet very sure he was constipated. Thank goodness my vet immediately knew better. It was a very traumatic weekend for me, but right now he is back to normal and sound asleep on my foot. What I saw:...
