I have a cat that's almost 11 years old and has always had a soft crackled meow. She's perfectly healthy, always has been. I wouldn't worry about it too much.
But then again, I may be wrong . . . that's just my opinion from my own personal experience.

Re: My cat throws-up & has bouts of diarehha
oh yes, yes, that's a good idea! i remember taking in stool samples every other day for two weeks . . . just make sure it's pretty fresh. i think they told me no longer than 8 hours. you might want to ask when you call though. and it doesn't matter if it's covered with litter.

Re: My cat throws-up & has bouts of diarehha
not sure if it's the same, but my kitten had similar problems for the first few months of her life. the throwing up, soft stools, scooting her poopy butt, and she even had blood in her stools. she didn't get better until the vet treated her for intestinal parasites. had to treat her twice. she does ...

Re: Cat with diarrhea
Yogurt will harden your cat's stools, BUT you don't need to ignore the problem. Could be something, especially if it's come out of nowhere . . . I'd make a trip to the vet if it continues.

Re: worried about my new kitten!
I'd guess she just wasn't properly weened.
My cat did the same thing when we first got her at 5 weeks of age. She didn't know how to eat dry food. We had to start her on kitten formula, went to wet food, and eventually she would eat dry food.
Good luck with your new kitty!
