Re: Talk about Kitty's quirks here
Fun topic!! Booker is a perfect black and white tuxedo cat. She's about 4 or 5 years old. She enjoys being queen of the household and pestering. She drools if you pet her too much and loves nothing more than to sit in her daddy's lap. D'Artagnan is just about 2 years old. He is solid black. He enjoy...

Re: best litter
I think it honestly depends on the cat. My girl Booker absolutely REFUSES to go in ANYTHING other than the cheap clumping litter I buy at a warehouse type store. So, everytime I go there, I buy at least 2 buckets, because if they stop selling it, I'm in trouble.

Re: Cages to keep mother cats and kittens
I would keep them isolated all the time. Maybe in a room instead of a cage (you don't want the kittens to climb up and then accidentally fall onto the hard cage bottom). Do you have a spare bedroom you could keep them in? What are you going to do with the kittens? Is the Humane Society going to take...

Re: Molly Mae falls off edge of bed
My cat Booker falls off of things. She always has. Usually mid-sleep she'll roll over and off of what she's lying on! It IS sorta funny, but we do worry about her getting hurt. So, we always move her to the floor or the center of what she's sleeping on so it doesn't happen as often.

Re: take to the vet
Well, sometimes, a person needs to hear (read) somebody else telling them to take their pets to the vet. Some people may not know if the symptoms are dangerous or just mild. They need the advice of others who may have been in the same situation. This place is a shoulder to lean on when the vet isn't...

Re: newborn kittens, HELP!!
If you can, get the kitties to a vet ASAP. Also, you'll need to buy some kitten formula from the petstore to feed them with. Keep them warm. I'm sure others here will be able to tell you more.

Re: Cat continues to pull out fur, is something wrong?
My cat D'Artagnan does this out of stress. The only way to get him to stop was to put him on drugs for a bit. They mellowed him out and he stopped. Has there been any new stress in your home? It could be ANYTHING out of the oridnary. Did you move furniture? change the litter box position? introduce ...

Re: a cat left out in the cold
As sad as it is, you can probably do nothing right now because of the holiday. Talk to your neighbor. Maybe you can talk her into taking it to the emergency vet. I'm sure they are open. If she won't do it, run to your local Wal-Mart and by an electric heat FAN. These are much less dangerous and mine...

Re: How necessary is a rabies vaccine for indoor cats?
Oh, I agree, they know! LOL!! I wouldn't have been able to help myself. There would have been canned food and treats and maybe even some cheese to make ammends! I don't like it when they are that mad at me, even if it is kinda funny!
