Re: Has anyone tried Nutro Ultra?
I switched my dogs (slowly) about a month ago from Nutro Natural Small Bites. The last 2 mornings, Louie vomited it up...not in the evenings, though (as far as I know). Before that, he didn't finish it....maybe 3 times. And he is a good eater. He is a 2 yr rescue hound and very healthy. Maybe I wil...

Re: Dog Sitting
I'm thinking of taking in small dogs while owners are on vacation as a way of getting some extra money. I have no idea how much to charge, nor do I know any of the ramifications. My biggest concern is that I will be attached to the dog instantly and then will grieve when I have to part with him/her...

Re: ........Shelby's gone..........
Thank you everyone. DogLady, I loved your website and found it to be a great comfort during this difficult time. I was glad to see Shelby's name there. We do plan on getting another Doberman. Shelby was our second one and we just couldn't imagine our lives without one. You are most welcome, and I'm...

Re: Cancer - 13yr old Dalmation
Just found out that my 13yr old dalmation has cancer. Over the last few months she has developed lumps (from BB size to the size of a pea) all over her skin - Not just a few lumps - 100's The vet said that it is a cancer after taking samples for a biopsy. (a Sarcoma) She is still a very happy dog -...

I have been dealing with food and allergy issues with quote] I feed my girl Wellness Fish and Sweet Potato dry food (by Old Mother Hubbard) which is baked, rather than extruded, and is recommended for dogs with allergies. I don't know the brand of food she was eating with her former owner, but was ...

Athena can no longer be trusted off leash. quote] One thing I would do, and that is to reinforce "recall." Whether or not you let her off leash again, I would do it anyway.."come" is a lifesaving command. I don't have a fenced yard..can't do it, because of the location of my sep...

Re: New here and hoping to find some help..
I agree with Traci, and a second opinion is definitely needed. When you are not getting answers, and there is no improvement when so much time has passed, do what you would do for yourself, and get a second, or even third opinion if necessary. If you have a teaching veterinary hospital nearby go the...

Re: Lab urinating indoors, please help.
Could be a behavioral problem, but I think the first step is to take your dog to the vet for an examination, and have the urine checked to make sure there is no urinary tract infection.
