Re: found kitten

All is well with this kitten. She is letting me pet her, pick her up also. She lives and plays with the other 2 indoor cats. No chance of breeding with a neutered male. She is eating well, and knows the system here. Now for a name.

found kitten

I saw a cat wandering to the hay mow upstairs in the barn this winter. I finally found some kittens. I was going to get a friend to help collect them, but downstairs one day I saw two of them between two bales of hay. I went to get a crate, but when I came back, there was only one. Searched a long t...

Re: white stools

Well, the reason I asked, is that one of the dogs had a crumbly, dry, white stool overnight in the house - last week. Since it was not there when we went to bed it was fresh. I keep several dogs in the house at night, so I can`t say which one. However, I have seen a few out in the yard as well. Just...

Re: white stools

Fenced yards, but in a rural area. I would know if any large animal came by. It is from my own dogs for sure. Just wondered how that hard dry lump can be comfortable for the dogs.

Re: Eggshells?

I boil my duck eggs for the dogs for treats. I cut them in half and scoop out the egg, and feed the shell back to the ducks. One day a collie ate about 10 cooked eggs in the pan in the ditchen sink. She reached up high enough to get them. There was no problem, but I learned to cool the eggs where no...

Re: Can I wash off flea stuff....

I am just cirious about flea problems. About 20 years ago people moved into the farm across the road and their cat apparently lived in my barn. I had put the cat in a crate for 4 days when it would not leave, and then it went to the "animal guy" when he delivered my dog food. I did not kno...

Re: Maltese puppies and teeth

I am surprised no one has any ideas here. I would not let the teeth be removed UNTIL it is obvious the bad problem has actually started to occur. I have seen puppy teeth in weird bites, but they all turned out just fine as mother nature took over. The sky is falling siomewhere every day. Check with ...

licking ears

My two collies lick each other`s ears. Then they look wet, clumped and dirty. Is there a reason they do this? I take these 2 for pet therapy in nursing and retirement homes, and it is sometimes difficult to get the ears fluffy looking. And of course it is nicer for cuddles if the ears look more clean.

I`m just curious. Is she spayed? Maybe the infection gave her pain, and the male tried to ply/jump/breed her. Then she would connect contact with him with fear of more pain.
