Re: New Mom help needed

Feeding them kitten food - Iams. And they get a can of wet kitten food to share at night. Huggy seems to be the lazier of the 2 kitties. He's a "wait until the prey is still, then pounce" kind of hunter, whereas Starsky will chase it. But they do race around the house pretty frequently and...

Re: New Mom help needed

okay - new question. Huggy, my black one, has a bit of a flabby tummy and he's been getting chunky, even though I feed him and Starsky the same amount. Is there a reason for this? Should I take him to the vet to get checked out? I mean, you can see it a bit in his picture.

Re: New Mom help needed

that is very true. Huggy will headbutt me, then start licking my eyelids if I don't acknowledge him right away. No matter that I was in the middle of a very good dream. I did keep the door closed last night, and with the exception of a couple scratches at the door, they were too traumatized. Here ar...

Re: New Mom help needed

You guys are wonderful. I usually feed them when I get home, but I do leave them out a bowl of food to munch on throughout the day since they do need the energy being kittens. But, I give them a treat before I go to bed. We are working on tricks. They are very smart and now know to sit before I give...

New Mom help needed

I have a small issue with my kitties. They tend to like to wake me up at 2 am and 4 am. I get a head butt and licks on the eyelids. I've tried wearing them out with playing, but it hasn't worked. I need my sleep! Would I be a bad mommy if I closed my door at night and didn't let them sleep with me? ...

Okay - I did a mom thing. I made an LOLcat pic. Re: nuzzling

No, I'm not discouraging it. I'm rather happy they are so close. I actually 'met' Starsky first at the shelter. Huggy was elsewhere. But then, as I was waiting for Starsky to be adoptable, I found Huggy on the shelter website, and completely fell in love with him. Neither of them like me working on ...
