Re: Traci, Meet the Newcomer

OK, I will be as thorough as I can with you Traci, please understand, I am beyond exhausted. Here goes. I left Shell at the clinic for a few hours to give my vet time to work with a clinic in Dallas that is doing great things for cats with stomatitis and other oral issues. Before I left her, we went...

Re: Traci, Meet the Newcomer

Traci, I really need your help if you are willing? I need a list of coherent questions to ask the vet about Shell tomorrow. Right now my brain is mush and I am afraid I am going to miss something important. In the middle of all this Shell chaos is Mike and his condition. They have found a suspicious...

Re: Traci, Meet the Newcomer

As mentioned, I didn't have all the bloodwork, just what he mentioned on the phone, the ones that concerned him the most. I will have the whole results tomorrow afternoon when I take her in. I hate FIP diagnosis, to me this is the lazy way of saying- 'we don't know what is wrong with your cat, there...

Re: Traci, Meet the Newcomer

Traci, I'm just going to post the values the vet is concerned about. He called me at work and I only had time to jot down a few of them. I do not have all the numbers in front of me. here it goes. Kidney/Liver-normal range Blood/nitrogen unalarming Creatin- 1 Total Protein- 11.4 WBC- 19,000 Gobulin-...

Re: Traci, Meet the Newcomer

She went to the vet this morning, and he is stopping any more treatment on her until the bloodwork comes in (either late tonight or tomorrow) From there, we will know where to go next. Her mouth hasn't improved much (according to him) I think it has, but I am not a vet. She's eating better, she is a...

Re: Traci, Meet the Newcomer

Here she is getting her daily rubdown. She goes to the vet early Monday morning. I hope he will decide she is strong enough to have blood drawn.

Re: Traci, Meet the Newcomer

She is special, in a way where there are no words to describe. I apologize for being absent- had a personal issue come up still dealing with, but anyway on the Shell Front- Her tongue is now in her mouth! She is 7 pounds and has decided her cage is simply unacceptable to be in, and she wants the who...

Re: Traci, Meet the Newcomer

I didn't have to call him, he came into work last night! We talked for a bit but the store was busy. He just kept saying "mary anne, her mouth is a mess!" Like I don't know this? I have to go to work today but here is her Third Morning Picture. Poor Kitty looks like she is drunk :( http://...

Re: Traci, Meet the Newcomer

Traci, question please? We were snuggling on the bed just now and my head was down so I have a better view of her tongue that is protruding out of her mouth. On the edges of the protruding part-on the outside tip and side is a thin band of red. I'm assuming blood. Is that an indication that she is l...

Re: Traci, Meet the Newcomer

I believe she wants more than a soft kiss Traci! LOL It is now 5:29 a.m. and I did get some good sleep last night- but I did not check on her past 9:00 p.m. Howler likes to turn my alarm clock off for me. So I slept through the night. I went to check on her a few minutes ago and I see signs that are...
