Re: Very confused and at a loss!
I know this sounds like the dumbest reply ever, but we had a dog that ate toliet paper for some reason. It gave him the poopsies. Is it possible your cat is eating toliet paper?

Re: How often does the average cat have accidents?
Superdude....any kittens I have had have only had to be shown the litter box once and they use it with no further intervention. I think the exception may be if the kitten is taken from their Mom to early or if they are ill. Hope this helps. Joy Ahhhh... Okay, I was thinking I would have to train th...

Re: How often does the average cat have accidents?
No, that answers my question. I know puppies have accidents all the time if you don't properly take it outside every 20 mins or so. It's not there fault and I was wondering if it was the same for kittens. (IE show them the litter box every 20 minutes or so) Do you get a litter box with a cover on it...

How often does the average cat have accidents?
Do cats have accidents? If so, how many times? How about kittens?
No, I don't own a cat and I wanted to know. I know if it does happen you should take it to a vet for a urinary checkup. But do cats have accidents like puppies when they are young?

Re: Clueless about kittens and cats.
Another Cat question: My neighbor has a cat. I heard the cat whining the other night in my townhome. I'm worried about getting a cat because of this reason: One of my friends who had a cat moved into a new condo. The previous owner replaced the carpets and it was found that they owned a cat. When my...

Re: Clueless about kittens and cats.
I have a question. Why doesn't your GF post? She is not posting because she is looking at the thread as well as the rest of website and other websites. As I said before, we are researching before we adopt. We don't want to take the plunge in the unknown. The cat is going to live for at 12+ years. I...

Update: Okay, we got some books about kitten/cat care instead of reading what is on the innerweb. We got this one called All about your new cat and Kittens/cats for Dummies. They have alot of interesting stuff but still missing some important stuff. Questions: What do you do with the pook and urine?...

Re: Clueless about kittens and cats.
First thank you all for all your replies. I think people are getting the wrong impression. I want to clarify a few things. The Basement The basement is 1800 square feet of "liveable" space. It is carpeted and has laminate flooring. It is very well insulated. I spend 90% of my time when I a...

Clueless about kittens and cats.
Hello, My fiance' is moving in with me this summer. She really wants a cat/kitten and I told her it would be ok. However, I am having second thoughts now on this. Can someone help me with my questions? 1) I live in a large townhome with a finished basement. I do not have heat downstairs except for a...
