Re: MYTHIE - outside the box
hi traci... i think i may have figured out what it was.... the other morning i was re-routing some tunnels in the gerbilarium and i noticed mythie was going in the new low walled litter box. i'd known she was using since we brought her back from the vet. she was very close to the edge and so the poo...

Re: MYTHIE - outside the box
Vets seem to think everything is fine with her medically. They checked for mites and skin problems etc.
Maybe it is just behavioral and i'm missing something.
no bumps on the skin....

Hi Traci... Mythie is at the vet. She has been there for 3 days under observation to see if they can see any thing odd in terms of her stool and her behaviour. We've been to visit her every evening and each tie the vet says that they can't see anything odd... no excessive licking and no abnormal poo...

Re: MYTHIE - outside the box
SO far, the things that seemed to work on her the best were the allergy shots, and the flea medicine... But Yes. You're right about the x-ray. I think i want the vet to do that if only so that i am absolutely sure that it is not an internal growth or something like that. Meanwhile i've been doing so...

Re: MYTHIE - outside the box
She has just started to run again. Zooey is asleep so i guess that means that she is not really invlved. She's very agitated. She's twitching the bottom of her back and grooming her tail and flicking her tail very abruptly. I think it could be that hyperesthesia thing you mentioned. I just on't uner...

Hi Traci, Mythie was fine since the last post i made a few weeks ago. We took her to the vet for another check up and he seems to think that it is behavioural..... JUST a few minutes ago, we were sitting on the couch watching tv and Mythie started running across the living room.... she seemed a litt...

Re: MYTHIE - outside the box
I just called the new vet and he said that we should put the cats back on regular food except zooey. He wants to check the results from the previous tests at the other vets and confirm wether or not she is diabetic by doing an insulin test at the clinic before changing her diet.... we will be doing ...

Re: MYTHIE - outside the box
The main vet Dr. Yeoh is actually one of the most well known vets in the area and is known for being really good. The trouble is that he has at least a dozen other vets working for him at his clinic so we don't always get to see Dr. Yeoh. The Vet that told us this is one of the younger ones.... The ...

Thanks! I don't know if i want to get her tested again so soon. Today at the vet they took quite a large vial of blood and they shaved her etc.... she didn't make a peep even though she was shaking a leaf... she's such a good cat! Will keep you posted!
