Re: Incessant Litter Box Scratching! - help me
We have the same issue with our cats every once in a while and it seems to happen when the litter box is not up to their satisfaction. We have 4 cats and have to scoop twice a day otherwise they scratch and scratch and throw litter everywhere. We used to have this problem all the time and then we sw...

Need to move litter box
We are getting ready to remodel and paint our bedroom which is where our litter box for our 4 cats currently resides. We would like to keep it in one of our bathrooms permanently so we figured this would be the perfect time to move it. We moved it to the other bathroom yesterday(which is very close ...

Re: Toothpaste as deterrant for cats??
Thanks so much for the replies. I'm going to try the aluminum foil first, it sounds like a good idea. If it doesn't work, I'll go for the balloon idea - never would have thought of that - very creative, I love it! It's funny that you mentioned tiring him out before going in to work because we've tri...

Toothpaste as deterrant for cats??
One of our cats has strarted scratching on our closed office door incessantly. Even if we aren't in there, he's trying to get in. If we try to ignore him, he'll keep doing it for hours. He gets to go in there at night, but we don't let them in during the day for safety reasons because we have turtle...

Re: Micro-chips....Can someone give me some information?
Hi Denise, All four of my cats were microchipped at about 3 months old. The procedure was so quick - its just a quick shot and its over. They didn't cry or have any kind of reaction during or after the procedure. I think its a good idea because if they were to ever get out and their collar with tags...

cats noses / sneezing / smoke
I was wondering if cats noses are supposed to be cold and wet or warm and dry??? I've noticed 2 of my kitties sneezing a few times over the last week or so and I'm wondering if they're starting to get a URI. I thought checking their nose and listening to their breathing might help me to see if there...

Re: Proper weight for kittens
Just wanted to leave a quick reply followup. I took in 3 samples to the vet on Monday and all came back just fine. The vet reommended I switch them over to an adult formula and even recommended Science Diet (just what Traci said). I have started a transition over to the new food over the last few da...

Re: Proper weight for kittens
I am going to get a couple stool samples checked this weekend, just to be on the safe side. And I will also talk to her about the two other dewormers.
Can you suggest a good premium adult food to graduate them to?

Re: Proper weight for kittens
The kitties have not stepped foot outside the house since I've had then and hopefully never will, so its good to know deworming should not be an issue for the future. I saved the bottle of dewormer that the vet gave us and it is neither of the formulas you mentioned. It says "Metronidazole"...

Re: Proper weight for kittens
Thanks so much for the helpful info. By looking at the chart, I think they are all around the ideal weight and I do feel better now. I wish there was a way to free feed them instead of the 3 meals a day, but I know that little Timmy would eat both his brothers and sisters portions in no time. I did ...
