Re: testing blood sugar at home

I just want to clarify that I was in no way suggesting you do anything whatsoever without your vet's input at all steps. I did it only after my veterinarian and I discussed every aspect of it, and I always spoke with her before any changes in treatment were implemented. I do not in any way advocate ...

Re: testing blood sugar at home

Hi, I, like you, was not comfortable giving insulin without without testing blood. I found the site www.felinediabetes.com to be a valuable source of information. That is where I learned of testing at home, and the vet tech at my vet's office had also found that same site and was able to work with m...

Re: Kitty...kitty...

This is an EMERGENCY!!. Get your cat to the vet NOW. This cat is very ill, and we have no way of telling what is wrong on the internet. Only the vet will be able to determine what is wrong. A cat who is not eating is in dire danger. Go NOW.

Re: Question about cats, heights, balconies -

Yes, you need to worry about it. My DH's cousin had a sweet kitty for several years who would sit on her balcony railings in her apts. One day, kitty fell and died. I assume that's Swirl in the pic...cutie! Good luck with the new baby. kk

Re: *UPDATE* Cat Vomiting Bile & Other Stuff, WBC in Uri

I only know about one of these diets: Sensible Choice. It's the one that I used to feed my Nina, and then they changed the ingredients and she started reacting to it. This was the dry, though. I now use the Wellness Super5Mix Adult and she has no probs. I don't envy your quest! Good luck in finding ...

Re: Silly pic..

And then there's tiny Nina (our seven-year-old girl) who looks tiny on the left next to one-year-old Sami. He loves his Nina...more than she loves him!

Silly pic..

This is Sumi. A few weeks ago, I was cleaning up the kitten room and putting way stuff from when they were sick and/or recovering from being neutered. I left this collar sitting there and came downstairs. A minute later, I looked up to see my Sumi standing there looking up at me with this collar on!...

Re: Going on a cruise..need a push

The place where I've boarded before is just a boarding facility on the grounds of the owner's home and it's nearby. BUT, I hate boarding cats too, so it's all set. Our sitter will come twice a day. I know they will be happier here. I just wish I had someone to live here while we were gone, but I hav...
