Re: Cat pregnancy - longer than 63 days?

So do you think that putting her in a laundry or bathroom would be a good idea instead of my bedroom?

She seems to nurse perfectly with me in the room, but maybe it might force her to nurse them all as she cant hide them anywhere?

Re: Cat pregnancy - longer than 63 days?

She has had six now. I think there is still one in her, and shes just started panting again. Its been about 4 hours since the last kitten, should I take her to the vet?

Re: Cat pregnancy - longer than 63 days?

Thanks Traci! Only about 30 mins after I wrote that she started labouring! Shes up to Number 5 and I think she might still have one in her. Every single kitten has been very stress free and she is resting and cleaning her kittens inbetween. The first 3 kittens came about within 10 mins of each one, ...

Re: Cat pregnancy - longer than 63 days?

He said we should be expecting kittens in the next few days, up to a week.

We actually picked up a pamphlet for a Emergency Vet while we were at the vets, incase something goes wrong with my girl.

I will be watching her and the bubs every move whilst she labours. :)

Thanks heaps guys.

Hey guys, been to the vet, and nothing!!! He said all the heads are down and ready, and shes ready to go and kittens should be here very soon. Im glad I took her because I asked him to shave her belly, as weird as it looks I want the kittens to have as much access to the nipples as possible. Im GLAD...

Oh thanks heaps Cleo.

Im not in a hurry at all to let the kittens go, they can stay with mum for as long as possible.

I dont understand how some people let the cats go to new homes at 5 weeks!! Even 8 weeks is too young IMO.

I would also like to add too -she is a pedigree Chinchilla Persian and we have homes (which are all family and friends) for up to 8 kittens which will all be spayed, as soon as possible.

After this litter, my queen will be spayed also.
