How long would it take for atrophied muscles to build up?
My cat is finally gaining use of her rear legs and she is really trying hard to stand up and walk but her muscles are just not strong enough. I do physio with her everyday which is essentially tensing and flexing her legs and I am going to get her a sling. But generally how long should it take for h...

Badly bloated kitty
Hi, I am a little stumped on this one. My kitten;s (9 mths olf) tummy is very runny and she is very bloated with gas - she looks like a bag pipe. I have taken her to the vet: - he first gave her an enteritis suspension to fix the diarhea - when that didn't work she was put onto Synulox for 5 days - ...

Re: Cat goes to the toilet a little bit at a time
Hi there I took her to the vet - they said that her bladder was empty but that her temp was slightly raised - 38.6. They said that in all likelihood it prolly was just that she was sore from the op - they said even more so perhaps as she was in season when they did it. They gave her a Mobic injectio...

Re: Cat goes to the toilet a little bit at a time
Thanks Traci. I also thought that the aspirin advice was bizarre - and that is why I didn't give it to her. It wasn't my normal vet - just the one at the emergency clinic near where I live. I will check on her this evening and if necessary will get her to the vet. I will give you feedback. Thanks ag...

Cat goes to the toilet a little bit at a time
Hi there My kitten was spayed on Friday. She went to the loo for a wee on Friday night and was fine. Since then though, she keeps on going to the litter box and has a tiny little wee at a time. And she does this lots. Sometimes she goes to the box and then doesn't wee at all. She doesn't seem to be ...

Re: HELP!
Hi there I eventually got hold of my vet. The tablets were Kortico - a type of cortisone. He says that you MUST check with your vet first because it is not always suitable although he has successfully treated cases of stomatitis with it. I hope that it helps. Thanks for your commisseration - it was ...

Re: HELP!
Hi there I had a 7 year old burmese boy with exactly the same problem. Stomatitis. He went through endless sessions with medication to try and control his pain, and we eventually decided to try and remove his teeth to try and help him. He also crashed under anaesthetic but unfortunately did not make...

Sorry - another frontline question
Hi there. Me again. I gave frontline to my one kitten last night and everything is fine. I want to dose the older one tonight however... she had major back surgery about a month and a half ago. Her scar is healed up nicely and her fur is growing back well but I am not sure if I can put the medicine ...

Re: Kittens and Frontline
No worries - just found this on the Frontline.com web site: What if my pet licks his coat following application with FRONTLINE? FRONTLINE has very high safety profile in cats and dogs. However the alcohol base may cause some transient salivation if the application site is licked before the product h...

Re: Kittens and Frontline
Just wanted to check. I have just given the one kitten the frontline. I tried to put it on her neck between her shoulders but she moved while I was doing it and got some on her shoulders. She proceeded to lick it and then foamed heavily from her mouth. I rinsed her mouth out with water. Will it be o...
