Meet Mika and Sophie!

http://i57.tinypic.com/bhk2g4.jpg This is my beautiful Mika. I have had her about a year, and found her on Petfinder.com. She is very small, about 7 pounds. Notice the tip of her right ear is missing - it looks as if it was bitten or torn off at some point in her earlier life. My vet thinks she is ...

Re: Glad that this board is here

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your Phoebe. I had a Phoebe as well, and I lost her 2 years ago on September 15th to kidney failure. I can only hope that our Phoebes are well and maybe playing together. (((hugs)))

My Dax is Gone

It has actually been a while - Dax crossed the Bridge on January 21, but I have really been too upset about it to post until now. On January 4th, my sister was here visiting and said, "Daxie is breathing funny." I looked at her, and she was relaxing on the living room floor, but was huffin...

Litter Box Attacks

I am having a big problem with Jingle, the new kid on the block. She has been here for about 18 months, and is almost 6 years old. For a couple of reasons, the main litter box in the house is in my bedroom. Jingle has started hiding under the bed and attacking the other cats after they have finished...

Re: I Lost Phoebe Last Night . . . msg

Traci . . . just to let you know, Phoebe's bladder stone SX was 2 1/2 years ago. At that time, they did the biopsy of her small intestine and we got the diagnosis of GI lymphoma. We put her on the prednisolone, and kept her on it for 16 months (gradually decreasing the dosage). My vet and I finally ...

I Lost Phoebe Last Night . . . msg

I am so sad right now - my heart is breaking. She was in severe kidney failure, and reading Susan's post about Belle was eerie for me, because it sounded exactly like what Phoebe was going through. She was diagnosed with diabetes in February, and I gave her insulin injections twice a day, as well as...

Re: New here - looking for any advice

Hi, I only have one thing to add to what Traci said, and that is about blood in the urine. I know from my own experience that not all kidney or bladder stones will appear on a regular xray - but they will on a CT scan. I don't know if this would even be available in your area or worth the expense ( ...

Re: Now Phoebe has Lymphoma

Nope, just a quick in and out weight check - I am going to make a recheck appointment so I can ask some questions.

Re: Male Cat Using Bathroom On Floor

Jefferson, I would take your guy to the vet for a thorough medical exam. He may be experiencing a bladder infection or problem with his bowels - even though he is not acting sick. They are such experts at hiding when they are sick. Try getting a urine sample and bring a fecal sample, too. Cats are c...
