If your kitty is limping, you should have that paw checked by the vet.
My one cat Chloe tends to shred things, even my sofa, but I do not care and i just trim her claws once a week!!
I hope your cat continues to heal and is back to herself soon.

Re: Vomiting Cat
I have a female cat 8 years old who vomits, at least twice a week or more. I feed her a prescription wet food, Science Diet ID which is very mild and has helped her. I also give her 1/4 tablet of Pepcid AC to help her stomach ( you can ask your vet about this). She is very high strung and reacts to ...

Re: Strong ammonia smell in urine
I took Honeybun in for blood and glucose testing. The vet did a urine test and ran bloodwork. She was within a normal range, so I have to keep alerted to her water drinking and output. The odor is not there now, but I am watching her. The cost is not cheap!! I paid over $175 for the exam and testing...

Re: Cat hair/fur knots
I agree and do not recommend Meow Mix, it has a lot of filler in it. Try Purina One Natural, Iams or Nutro. They make a canned Science Diet for hairballs, which works wonderfully to eliminate the hair in the system. I give it to my girls in the am just a couple of tablespoons, along with Laxatone. M...

Grrr! I have not patience for this sheer irresponsibility.
Poor kittie and doggie, I do hope someone caring has the dog and can provide a better home for him too.

Re: My cat wakes us up every am at 3-4
I have the same problem with my 3 year black and white girl, Chloe. She comes in and jumps up on the nightstand or dresser and starts either knocking items off, or hits the dresser handles until I get up to feed her or close our bedroom door. She has a companion 8 year old female, but she sleeps all ...

Re: My Son ~ The Rescuer
He is a darlling puppy, and I love his name.
I wonder if someone abused him or he was hit by a car. How great that your son took him, so at least he's loved and protected.
Let us know how everything progresses at the vets and at home.

Re: Cat acne, infections on chin
I agree, I had changed vets twice, before I found a very compentent, thorough, caring one. She will recommend a specialist if she cannot thoroughly treat a condition. I do hope you get to the bottom of this infection. I find that washing bowls thoroughly with hot soap and water (gentle dishwashing l...

Re: Black Poop?
Friskie- MIlk is not good for kittens/cats. They tend to be lactose intolerant. Please use a kitten formula Just Born, or Catsip (like milk for cats). I would take a stool sample to vet for analysis, esp if you suspect blood in her stool, could be from extreme irritation. What kind of food do you fe...

Re: My little kitten's growing up!
Beautifull cat, very shiny coat. I feed the Purina One Natural Formula with oatmeal and chicken (honest chicken is the first word). It is moderately expensive and they seem to do real well on it. I switched from Nutro, I also feed Science Diet canned for 7+ for Honeybun am just a few tablespoons. Mo...
