Re: FLUTD--cat will probably have surgery :(
hi Traci, i'm not sure which type of crystals. he was not blocked. no, he was not catheterized, i got the urine samples myself (from the litterbox) by using nosorb, given to me by the vet. the new diet and antibiotics were prescribed 2 weeks ago and no improvement was seen in his last urine test. we...

Re: Eukanuba or Science Diet Sensitive Skin for Itchy Flaky
hello, my cat has been having a problem with continually scratching at her neck though she has been treated for fleas. i am currently feeding her the Hill's d/d (duck & green pea) dry food and she seems to be scratching much less. the food is pricey but it's worth it if it will stop the scratchi...

FLUTD--cat will probably have surgery :(
hello, my cat marvin has had problems with frequenting the litter box for sometime now. the vet i use to take him to would only prescribe antibiotics and didn't educate me on the severity of the condition. now, i have a new much better vet and due to the length of time that marvin has had this, will...

Re: Swollen bottom lip
hello,
my cat has had problems with the swollen bottom lip and it turned out to be from a gum infection. how are your cats teeth? i had my cats teeth cleaned and then gave him antibiotics for the gum infection and the swollen lip went away. this may be a possible culprit. good luck.

Cat always scratching herself-doesn't have fleas
hello, my cat owlie is always scratching herself, mostly on her neck but sometimes on other parts of her body. she does it so often that the spots become infected. i took her to the vet the first time this happened and they gave me a pill to releive the itching, antibiotics for the infection, and th...

Re: Owlie's up for her second surgery today
yep, she's already been dewormed. i will try leaving dry food out for her, i just worry about her eating way to much and getting sick or overweight. she seems to be healing very quickly from her operations. i will take her to the vet in the near future to ask about spaying. they do need to be out of...

Re: Owlie's up for her second surgery today
I tried feeding owlie more food and she still wants more. it's like it's endless. she's even started getting into the trash can. to top things off she's also in heat. how long are cats usually in heat and do you think she'll be ready for another surgery so soon after her last? it's like everything i...

well, owlie's finally back with us and she's doing great. we're still trying to get her and kiki (my boyfriend's other cat) used to each other but other than that its been pretty smooth sailing. i learned at the hospital (when we picked her up) that she is actually 4 years old, so she's full grown! ...

Re: Owlie's up for her second surgery today
Hi Cleo,
Yep, she walked in front of my car one day, looking like she was going someplace to die. I got out of my car and figured if she came to me when i called out to her, i'd help her, if not, then i was going to leave her be. Well, we all know what she did. She's a tough one i'll say.

Re: Owlie's up for her second surgery today
yes, she is very tiny. she put on some weight when we were trying to nurse her back to health, but not much. we were feeding her two cans of moist food a day, but then cut it down to one because i was worried about overfeeding (my boyfriend's full size cat eats two a day and she is twice the size of...
