Re: Cat recovering from being hit by car

Update on Eddie Hello everyone, thanks for your advice and support. The past week has been a trying one especially for my lovely cat Eddie. As you can tell by reading the above posts he was injured (not sure the cause, but likely by a car) last weekend. There was so much progress in his recovery all...

Feline Compass!?

I use to live in a shared accomodation with a good friend and her lovely big Maine Coon 'Billy'. We had him since he was a kitten, and it was her decision (which later influenced my mistake) to let him outdoors. We live in downtown Toronto however there are many side streets and more suburban areas....

Re: Cat recovering from being hit by car

Day 4 of Eddies recovery and he seems to be coming around more and more. One of my concerns now is that it is getting increasingly hard to give him his medications as the stronger he gets the more of a fight he puts up, growling and backing away. Is there an easier way to give him them? Can I put th...

Re: Please cross your fingers for Eddie's full recovery.

Thank you for your prayers. Eddie seems to be on the road to recovery but the next few days are crucial. He is eating on his own and seems a lot more comfortable and is starting to come back to his affectionate self. Here is a picture of him on his recovery bed, about to roll around 'purring'. http:...

Re: Cat recovering from being hit by car

First off, I have some good news. Eddie is starting to eat on his own, and off my finger. The doctor provided several cans of high protein Hills prescription Diet A.D - and he seems to be eating more and more every few hours. He still isn't drinking much water but I am putting some in his food. The ...

Please cross your fingers for Eddie's full recovery.

My adorable, loving and gentle cat Eddie (1yr. and 3 mo) was struck by a car on Friday night. Thankfully he has been dismissed from the Emergency Vet. E.R and is recovering at home, although slowly and painfully. He has suffered no immediate damage or broken bones, but a lot of head trauma, brusing,...

Cat recovering from being hit by car

Hello, I've had the worst weekend ever. One of my lovely cats (about 1 yr. and 3 mo) was struck by a car - approx Fri. night. Usually they don't stray far from the front yard and never go out at night, when he didn't come home Fri. night it caused us a lot of worry. Then after searching for him Satu...

HELP my young cat swallowed large chicken bone!

There are no Pet Emergency Clinics open at this hour in my area, nor anyone to call. Tonight at dinner, one of my cats jumped on table when I wasn't looking and swallowed (with ease) a chicken bone (from leg) about 1/2 width and about two inches long - not a SMALL bone. IT went down like a pill and ...
