Re: Cat Toys in the water dish!

Wow, it's been a little while since I first posted. Stella still does it, but we've since gotten her hooked on milk rings, which are waterproof. She no longer gets catnip mousies. They promptly get dunked. I think...she plays with her food as if it's prey, smacking it all over the kitchen, pouncing ...

Cat Toys in the water dish!

My cat, Stella, loves her toys. I make her crochet mice with catnip, or her snuggle bugs, or even milk rings. But we can't give them to her anymore. Last month I woke up and Stella was at her water dish crying her head off and looking at me. Her snuggle bug was taking a bath in the water dish. I squ...

Re: My Mother needs help with 2 cats spraying!

Well, if you offered to pay there shouldn't be a problem? It's really important that this is done first and foremost. Since you are already actively trying to get answers for her, which I think is great, why don't schedule an appointment with a vet and go with her. Easier said than done...I'm a ful...

Re: My Mother needs help with 2 cats spraying!

Did you tell her to have them checked out by her vet? Oh, yeah. She's on quite a budget, having lost her job with tons of medical bills in the past year. I told her to call St. Francis of Assissi and ask if they can tell her where to take them if she would qualify for some sort of program, and even...

Re: My Mother needs help with 2 cats spraying!

Answer from mom: The 2 cats have lots of toys, and one cat plays with them alot, and one cat doesn't play escept to chase the other cat. Yesterday, the cat I've had alittle longer, used the litter box to urinate, after sniffing around where I saw the second one spray, yes spray (female), but a year ...

My Mother needs help with 2 cats spraying!

My mother has 2 cats, both over 10 years old. She's had one for only 3 years. The one she got 3 years ago tried to prove she was the alpha cat and there were constant cat fights. No, I don't know how Mom introduced them. I think she just brought the new cat into the house. Lately, the male cat has b...

Re: Is there any way to have more loveable cats?

Stella was a shelter baby, Hobbes was a kitten I got from a friend of a friend whose cat had 6 kittens. Stella is still a teenager, but when you go to pet her on the head she does kind of shrink back, but then will let you touch her. I have had other cats raised by people (my mother has one) that ju...

Re: Is there any way to have more loveable cats?

Showing affection, care and bonding are good, but even better is getting actively involved in their playtime activities, nothing encourages a cat's trust moreso than active engagement in their activities, especially playtime and exercise. Spend at least 10 minutes each day with interactive toys and...

Is there any way to have more loveable cats?

Hi all, this is my first post! I have 2 cats. Hobbes is 10, and Stella Mae is almost a year old. They get along pretty well. Hobbes is a cool cat, she's quiet and sleeps a lot, and has never been very dependant. She won't sit on my lap unless I'm wearing pants or have a blanket over my legs, ...
