Re: Cat won't stop wondering around, has been for hours

Hey guys, Thanks for the kind words. It's a pretty sad time, I've never had to put an animal down before. It's weird I've had some people say "I have a cat you can have" or "I know where you can get a cat!" as if I'm just going to be able to run out and get another one and be oka...

Re: Cat won't stop wondering around, has been for hours

Unfortunately I don't come back with good news. Luffy had a massive brain tumor and had to be put down  He didn't wake up from the anesthetic and they offered to wait a while but I knew even if he woke, he wouldn't ever be the same and I couldn't afford any type of treatment that he'd need to b...

TO AN ER VET IMMEDIATELY, get urinalysis done and ultrasound, call your regular vet and let them know what's going on, but this can't wait, an ER vet is probably more qualified to determine what diagnostics are prudent at this point, but if they suggest neurologist, then HAVE THEM GET THIS SET UP F...

Re: Cat won't stop wondering around, has been for hours

Okay I'm sorry to double post but I just discovered something major. He appears to be blind. Which is probably why he's acting this way... he's confused and scared.

What can I do to make him comfortable? I'll get him in somewhere ASAP but for now what can I do?

I'm so sorry I didn't get to see this until now, hopefully you're at or have been to your vet by now. Can you remind me how old Luffy is? Beyond the bloodwork, please also opt for thyroid testing, especially if Luffy is 7 or older - thyroid problems can cause vocalizing and seemingly disoriented me...

Cat won't stop wondering around, has been for hours

Before anyone says anything, don't worry I'm taking him to a vet in the morning... or in like 5 hours... but I just can't relax knowing he's doing this. Since yesterday he has been walking around and wandering the apartment. Literally non stop except to eat when I give him food. He's been up for at ...

Behavioral litter box issue

Okay before I begin I want to let you guys know that my cat is healthy, and I recently had him checked out. He has no health problems that should cause him to do this, but I've been having a problem with him recently. Lately he's been jumping in the litter box, digging around and yowling. At first I...

Re: Urinary Tract Infection

Just to give an update, Lucy is pretty much back to normal. I've been keeping her on the special diet this entire time because I don't know if the stones have fully dissolved or not, but she doesn't appear to be in any pain anymore, she hasn't peed in any unusual areas and her squatting has stopped....

Sonique, when you took Lucy to the emergency vet, did they not do an xray? Or did they offer and you perhaps declined it? Did they in fact, catheterize her under anesthesia and flush the urethra? Or did they simply get a urine sample and only tested the sample to determine there were crystals in th...

The urinating on the bed would have been one sign, particularly if she's never done that before. Also, the "squatting in unusual places" pertains to beds, furniture, sinks, etc. She has done that before, but it's been ages since she has. Her favorite place to pee (non litter box) was the ...
