I read more about this on another board. Apparently, the food was analyzed and found to contain high levels of copper, iron and zinc, although later it was said the levels were within AAFCO guidelines. Sounds more likely it was aflotoxin contamination.

Scribs is getting harder to wrestle to the floor
So I weighed her the other day... 65 lbs! I think she was ~55 at the vet 6 months ago. Still not an ounce of fat on her, I wonder if she'll gain much more (her chest is definitely getting deeper and broader). She'll be 2 next month.

There was a gang of 5 great danes there, and of course who does Scribs want to tussle with? Those dogs have one mean-sounding "woof"! Wish I had a camera to get a pic of her getting chased by those horses, dang...

Well, I don't have jowls like Scribs, and I don't jump around like a maniac like Scribs, but she does like to eat (like me) and she has a wicked sense of humor and likes to tease (like me). So I'd say 50:50

2.5 mg sounds fine. The multi vit and mineral I give Scribs everyday contains 2.5 mg zinc.

What does a "hotspot" look like?
Scribs has a small circular mark on her leg, a little smaller than a dime and slightly raised. It looks more like a scrape but odd that it's circular. It was pink the night we noticed it and now it is healing and almost invisible. Any ideas? It didn't seem to be tender and she didn't lick or bite at...
