Re: Jasper bites!

Thanks. We did get Jasper to stay off the counters with the water bottle and "no!" So I'll try placing spray bottles around the house. He did walk away from the dryer this morning when I said "no" .......he tends to want to explore in there too! Within the past 3 years, I lost 3 ...

Jasper bites!

Jasper is just about one year old and very active. As part of his play, he bites, and it seems to be getting out of control. What is the best way to stop this? Thanks.

Re: Amount to feed my new kitten

Thanks, Traci. I will switch to dry and feed him some canned as a snack. The vet recommended Science Diet, and I will get it asap...right now, we are having a blizzard here and I can't get out. I have Purina One and Fancy Feast in the house right now, and I will switch him over slowly once I get it....

Amount to feed my new kitten

We got Jasper from the shelter last week. He is 6.9 lbs. and is 8 mos. old. I have been feeding him three 3.5 oz. cans food a day with a little extra dry, but he stills seems hungry. My vet said to take the feeding recommendations and cut them by 25%, and that is what I am doing. I don't want to ove...

Re: Probable intestinal cancer inoperable, is there a supple

The bottle I still have says 1/2 tablet twice daily. That would be 5 mg a day but is was cut in half. I know it was higher at the beginning, and I was scared when we reduced it, but he did fine. Just keep watching. I am so glad he is recovering from the insulin overdose. Chester would only eat a lit...

Re: Probable intestinal cancer inoperable, is there a supple

If he needs a pick-me-up, inquire about B12, and good luck. I am so glad he is doing well. Chester also had a mass on his intestine which was controlled with the pred. Too bad about the insulin shock. My cat Junior, who I lost 2 weeks ago (I am still in pain) was going into shock from an overdose of...

Re: Probable intestinal cancer inoperable, is there a supple

My dear cat Chester lived with lymphoma for at least 5 years on prednisolone and an appetite stimulant (theophylline). Once in a while when he seemed lethargic, I took him to the vet for some B12 shots and fluids. Eventually, I started doing the B12 at home. Because of the pred, he was pre-diabetic,...

littermate is mourning

Hi. I've posted on and off for several years. I just lost my cat, Chester, to lymphoma. It is hard for me to think of losing my sweet gentle boy. He survived with it for over 4 years, and was almost 15 years old. I am worried about his littermate, Junior. I did notice him looking around for Chester ...
