One eye closed
My cat seems to have an eye infection. She keeps her left eye closed all the time. I took her to the vet and he gave me some triple antibiotic ointment. I have been having trouble getting in her eye. The cat just won't cooperate. I called the vet back and he said "even if I get a speck in her e...

Last night she wanted to go out on the porch but didn't want to come in when I went to bed. I made her a box filled with old cloths that is away from the wind and put it on the porch...

Re: severe head cold
Thanks Traci, I will get her to the vet soon. She has been drinking excessive amounts of water, so something must be wrong with her.

Re: severe head cold
I just got back from the vet. Winnie is doing a lot better now. The antibiotics are doing a fine job and her head cold is just about gone. The vet said I needed to make an apointment to the animal eye clinic because Winnie's eye is not looking good. She said I need to start giving her some lycine, i...

Re: severe head cold
Traci: Winnie is feeling a lot better today. She is improving every day. She ate almost a whole can of food today, by herself. I am going to call the vet tomorrow and let her see Winnie's eye to see how its doing. I will also mention the problems that I am having with Gabbie. I didn't think that the...

Re: severe head cold
Kristen: The cat belonged to my girl friend for all 17 years. She stayed at her house and was next to her in the bed where Sue died. I took the cat in because of all the cats Sue had I liked Winnie the best. She also had 5 others. I took Winnie and another from her house to mine. The cats helped me ...

Re: severe head cold
Thanks for your insistance on finding another vet, looks like things may be looking up. She is starting to eat a little on her own, it may be the periactin causing that. The cold seems a little better too. She also has an ulcer on her eye that was made worse by the prednisone. The vet gave me triple ...

Re: severe head cold
The periactin seems to be working some what. I can hear winnie breathing a little better. I looked up orbax on another site and it said orbax is a fluoroquinolone. I guess this will be fine.
