Re: Ways To Clean Urine Off Cat?

OM! Thank you, Traci. E.T. has had a fructosamine level done several times. For the first few months after her diagnosis it was hard to keep her sugar level somewhat normal, especially since she gets tired of one food and goes for another. But she's doing pretty well now. Several times she began to ...

Re: Ways To Clean Urine Off Cat?

OM! Thanks everyone. In October my cat, E.T., will be 18. Last November she was diagnosed with diabetes and gets two shots of insulin every day. I bring her in frequently to see how her blood sugar is doing. She recently had a bladder infection which, according to the veterninarian, is something tha...

Ways To Clean Urine Off Cat?

OM!

I have an elderly, incontinent cat who only wets her bed. I can't give her a bath every day. She only needs her rear end and sometimes side cleaned. Are there any homemade concoctions I can use?

Thank you.

Re: Not Steady On His Feet

OM! I just wanted to report that within three days after seeing the vet and getting his daily meds, Buddha is 100% back to normal! Praise Sai! Of course, I am most interested to see what the vet has to say when he examines Buddha next week for his follow up appointment. It is scary that the other ve...

Smart, Smart Animals!

OM! I have always been a "talker" to animals (talking to them like I do to humans). I've had lots of cats who meow back at times. Recently while visiting a friend and saying hi to her cats, her cat Gray looked at me, pointed his nose towards the sofa and said "meow." He did that ...

Re: Not Steady On His Feet

OM! This is the latest on Buddha. A different vet saw him but from the same animal hospital. Who saw him was the head of the small animal section. He went over Buddha's records and gave him a thorough examination. He said Buddha had (if I can read his handwriting!) "Ruptured tympanic membrane&q...

OM Dear Mookie's Mom, Your postings on your beloved Mookie really caught my eye because my own cat, Buddha, may not be long for this world. Just less than an hour ago he was in my lap showing great affection. Tomorrow he is seeing the vet again; hopefully he will have many long years ahead. Recently...

OM! Thanks for the info. Blood work was done and no problem showed up. BUT the vet suggested the possibility that Buddha have his teeth cleaned. There was a bit of gingivitis. She suggested, that when I pet him, to gently wipe his gums with gauze. I am hesitant about having his teeth cleaned because...

Not Steady On His Feet

OM! Hi! You guys gave me some great advice about megacolon before. My 15-year-old male cat Buddha seems to be doing ok with that. He is on a combination wet-pack food and senior-cat dry food diet that has this problem under control. But now there is another problem that puzzles my vet. It started wh...
