I've got a 12 year old cat who pees everywhere (normally against something...like a corner or near a wall). He refuses to use the litter box, even if it's been cleaned out for him. I would get it checked out by a vet. My cat was like that where she would just drink tons and tons of water, but would barely touch her food. We brought her to the vet and her numbers were very high. Turns out she had kidney failure. I would get it checked.
