Well, interesting experiment we've tried. I saw this news ad on TV where if you have a "lazy cat", try putting litters on each level of the house. So far it has worked! There haven't been any "surprises" on the carpet! He may be 12, but he sure doesn't act like that. He's ...

12-year-old cat who pees everywhere

I've got a 12 year old cat who pees everywhere (normally against something...like a corner or near a wall). He refuses to use the litter box, even if it's been cleaned out for him. We usually catch him trying to go and many times when we do catch him, we'll run and grab him and bring him to the litt...

I don't really know what could have attacked him, but it wasn't another cat, that's for sure. The markings on him are just too big for a cat. I have no clue if it was a dog, but they're normally allowed to run around without a leash (if the owner is around). But I'm in Canada, so I really don't know...

Re: Pictures

Thank you :) He's been sleeping all day and is his normal self (from what I've seen so far tonight) which is great.

Re: My cat has an abscess?

It might be. I'm not too sure what might have attacked him. He's looking better today. He's much more alert, doing his normal meow and purring :) He is on antibiotics and what we've tried is putting some turkey on a plate and putting half a pill in the turkey. It's worked so far! Yes, I believe the ...

Re: Bump on cat's nose

Hey, yeah, I know my cats one was quite a bit bigger and resulted from a wound, but still, like Traci said above, no bump should ever go unchecked by your vet. It's like having a lump on your breast. Do you leave it or get it checked? The reason I asked about sneezing is I looked on the net about bu...

Re: ?'s about drinking more

I would get it checked out by a vet. My cat was like that where she would just drink tons and tons of water, but would barely touch her food. We brought her to the vet and her numbers were very high. Turns out she had kidney failure. I would get it checked.

Re: Bump on cat's nose

I would most definitely get him checked out by a vet right away. One of my cats had a couple bumps on him throughout his body and we let it be until one day, we found one had started to bleed (quite a bit too). Is he sneezing at all? I would book an appointment with the vet and get it checked. :) Le...

Re: Had to say good-bye..

Kya - you did the best you could. You got her to the vet and had her looked after. There's nothing else you could have done. One of my cats passed away when she was about 9 years old. She seemed perfectly healthy but the past few months, her weight decreased. She was about 13 pounds to start off wit...
