Re: Acting weird...
She is so cute! I am the same way with my cat, any little tiny sign that something is different and I freak out. Granted, recently there has been reason to freak out, but in the past 12 years, I have overreacted every time! I'm glad she's ok!

Re: Hemangiosarcoma invading my baby
Hi everyone, Sabrina went to the oncologist today. I think my local vet gave me false hope - they indicated it was unlikely to spread, but the oncologist said that within 6-9 months it will most likely spread to her lungs and BOOM, that will be it. I find it very hard to believe this - she has NO sy...

Re: Hemangiosarcoma invading my baby
Traci,
Would it be possible for me to e-mail you the vet reports? I can't figure out how to post them here

Re: Hemangiosarcoma invading my baby
Ok, just had a quick talk with the vet-I'm getting her records and histology report tonight. Her bump is "subcuteous" and the person who did the biopsy said "observe for local reoccurrence and metastsis". Does that mean anything?

Re: Hemangiosarcoma invading my baby
Is it possible that she is just fine? The vet didn't seem concerned and when I asked if Sabrina is going to die, she said it was very unlikely. And apart from being clingy, she seems fine. Is it possible they got it all and the chemo is just to be sure? The vet also said it metasisised (I have no id...

Re: Hemangiosarcoma invading my baby
Thank you, Traci and Cleo! Traci, I'm going to get the doctors chart notes and scan them ASAP. In the meantime, here's what I know. Sabrina had no symptoms, I was squishing her and felt a golf ball sized lump. I squish her often, so I can say confidently that it appeared quickly. I just called and t...

Hemangiosarcoma invading my baby
Hi everyone, My 13 year old, 18 pound baby had a lump removed from her side/ribs last Thursday, and the biopsy came back as hemangiosarcoma. My regular vet sent the chart notes to an oncologist, who suggested chemo for Sabrina. I have a consult with the oncologist a week from tomorrow, but everyone ...

Re: Sabrina lost her purr?
I took her back to the vet, and they gave her prednizone, (that's spelled wrong), and that seems to have her all back to normal! I think it was a combination of allergies and respiratory issues that were making her cranky, but she hasn't coughed or sneezed, and she is purring again! Thank you, Traci!

Re: Sabrina lost her purr?
That would be litter box, not letterbox! Sabrina is awesome, but she can't write letters yet.

Sabrina lost her purr?
My cat, Sabrina, has stopped purring! She recently had a doctor appointment with bloodwork (about a month ago), and everything was normal. She is eating, drinking, using the letterbox and walking and sleeping like normal. But her personality is a lot more serious, she's become a bit antisocial (not ...
