Update on Spunky

Today is Friday May 23. Spunky had his second cortizone shot today. I enquired about Prednizone, the doctor said the cortizone shots are basically the same thing as prednizone, only with prednizone you have to give them pills twice a day, the cortizone shots are long lasting. Now for his progress.. ...

This first post went in as guest but it was mine.

Traci & all well wishers, please don't think that I don't apreciate your input, I do tremendously. I'm just very confused, I will certainly ask the vet about your suggestions. As for whether or not they were thorough in the ultrasound, I couldnt tell you they took the cat early in the morning &a...

Let me ask anyone who may have an answer. Is there any chance at all, that this tumour isnt malignant? And that maybe if it gets shrinked with medicine it will never come back? I had 3 other cats in my life The first one lived 14 years, the second one lived 18, & the 3rd one lived with spunky unt...

Traci, our signals perhaps have gotten crossed. the First doctor, did NOTHING for my cat but give him enemas. And prescribe lactulose, & put him on a DIET, that nearly killed him. the second vet took the sonagram and found the tumour. They advised me to have him get cortisone shots. Every 2 week...

They said after numerous xrays at the first vet that there were no physcial obstructions. Unless they out in out lied to me. I'm confused here, about the cortizone. Have I been mislead twice in 2 different vets? They never mentioned Prednisone. I'm going to ask why. Are there any links to any of the...

He was in the first Vet Twice for what I was led to believe Mega colon. The first time they gave him 1 enema, then gave him a Barium enema and took pictures of that. They said that the barium moved through fine, & that there were no blockages. I took him home, gave him the lactulose, that very s...

For exorcise you can try.

Taking a piece of long cord, & have the cat chase you through the rooms of the house. My cat used to do that at least once a day with me until he got too sick. Cats love cords. Just don't leave it or any laying around when you are done playing. they also have in some pet stores wind up mice that...

Thanks Traci

Thank you traci for getting back so soon. I left a few things out. At this new vet he was 3 times so far, & each time they did give him IV fluids in the top of his back. Under the skin it looks like he had a big fluidy bubble on his back for a little while until the fluids soaked in I guess. The...

Cat Diagnosed with Cancer very late in the game

My cat has been sick since November of 2002. I brought him to a vet right away, they diagnosed him as having a mega colon. Told me to give him lactulose & they gave him an enema. He was throwing up all his food, & he could not hold down the lactulose either. The doctor also made me feed him ...
