Re: Clawing

I used double sided tape on my couch corners and dining chairs. You can buy strips from the pet store, but hey are pretty expensive. Target/WalMart sell heavy duty carpet tape for around $3 and you get plenty. Cats don't like the stickiness of the tape. After taping all of my furniture, I tied a toy...

I bought 2 sided carpet tape made by 3M at the store (Target) for $4. I stuck it to my couches, chairs...etc, anywhere where my kitties scratched. Then I tied a toy to their scratching post and tempted them with it by playing with it with them. They'd attack and when they'd stretch they'd scratch it...

Re: cat eating toilet paper?

Consider youself lucky. I can't leave the bathroom door open unless I am in it. If I do, my cat Loki runs in and up on the toilet and withing 30 seconds the whole roll is unraveled.

Odin does the same thing, but with paper towels. so now I have to keep them on the fridge.

Re: How to know if a cat is stray

You all are right. I will have a chat with my boyfriend tonight about this. Even if we only keep him for a bit until someone that we know will treat him right will adopt him. First things first, I will have to go get some Advantage. My cats had a flea problem a few months back and the last thing I w...

Re: How to know if a cat is stray

I wasn't trying to treat the cat for fleas. It was 12.30 am and I just wanted to get something on him that I could write on. So I ran to Wal Mart to get a flea collar, washed it off and wrote the message on it knowing that either the owner or myself would remove it within the day. Oh yes, the kitten...

Re: How to know if a cat is stray

Well, we put a collar on him and I saw him lastnight and the collar was removed. It was just a flea collar that we cleaned off so we could write on it. I am kind of nervous that he took it off himself, but maybe that is also just whishful thinking. It does make me so angry because on the underside o...

How to know if a cat is stray

I live in an apartment complex. I have two indoor kitties. Well, the last week I noticed a little black kitten outside and where I live it is very common to have outdoor cats (though I don't like it at all). Well, now tonight, this kitten let me get up and close to him. That is how I found out it is...
