Ok, what is the secret to keeping your cat from using your flower beds as their personal litter boxes? They are scratching up my straw and bulbs! I'd really like to know. Help!
TIA!

sevin dust?
In years gone by, we have used sevin dust to rid ourselves of fleas in the house (with major floor cleaning as well). Is this product safe for kittens? We now have a kitten that is 10 1/2 weeks old. He has been bathed (baby bath, no tears) twice, allowing the suds to soak for a few minutes to suffoc...

repellent/boundary products ... do they work
I'm having a time trying to teach our dog not to void or drop his waste in my flower beds. I've looked at repellents but am not sure if they will work or not. The worst of this is that he has chosen the flower bed immediately next to our back door. I'd appreciate any suggestions you can give. Thanks...

? on using the litter box
Am I correct in assuming cats "cover-up" their waste in the litter box? If so, why would one suddenly stop?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: training
I agree too but at present we aren't able to get him in classes ... for different reasons. Is there some advice you can give from your experience ... pointers to help us get him on the right path?

training
How do you train a pup not to chase livestock? We have a coonhound mix pup, nearly 5 months old. He started off fine but now that he realizes chickens are "fun" to chase, he doesn't seem to want to listen? How do you train one to get used to a leash, other than using it constantly? He twis...

vomiting cat, need help
We have a half grown cat. He is probably near 6 months old. Over the last 3-4 days, he has been vomiting as many as three times a day. Some of it is clear with one time the appearance of a small fur ball present. Most of the time it appears to be undigested food. He appears to be eatinga nd drinking...

update on rescued bluetick coonhound
We took our little feller to the vet yesterday for an initial consultation and evaluation. He got rave reviews! His legs are fine! Everything checked out well. He weighs 18 lbs. 7 ozs. at 4 1/2 months old. We are going to have a big boy on our hands! Speaking of which, do any of you know where I can...

Re: new dog question ... bluetick coonhound, leg development
I've contacted the shelter and inquired about the mother. They infomred me that she was rather malnourished and therefore the pups didn't get the proper nutrients from the start. This one in particular was the runt. Hopefully all will be well in the end.
Thanks,
Jamie

Re: new dog question ... bluetick coonhound, leg development
HI Traci, I understand your point. I have the records of this pup. He has had two sets of shots, was parvo tested, and received ivomec dewormer. He will be going to our vet, once we can get an appointment. He is scheduled to be neutered and receive his rabies shot. I do not know when the vitamins we...
